Eutelsat 21B at 21.5°E
Eutelsat’s new 21B satellite was launched in November 2012 to 21.5 degrees East, where it has replaced EUTELSAT 21A, launched in 1999.
EUTELSAT 21B offers significantly increased capacity (40 Ku-band transponders versus 29 on 21A) and improved power and coverage.
In addition to an enhanced widebeam across Europe into North Africa and Central Asia, the satellite also features two dedicated high power beams covering North-West Africa and the Middle East/Central Asia.
